Any help that you can give us is GREATLY APPRECIATED!
JOBS THAT NEED TO BE DONE:
Scraping, priming and painting the exterior window frames before the snow flies So far the lower windows are primed and one is painted.
Our "Green Room" needs organizing. We have cupboards in there now to store theatre props, visual and audio equipment, exhibit materials. We also have a large collection of resource materials to sort and we need a comfy seating/table area to use the materials.
Like to do inventory? It's time to inventory our museum shop stock.
Cataloging pictures is an on-going project. We use a software program called "PastPerfect". One of our inspiring members, Nancy, is working on perfecting her skills so that she can teach you how to input new and existing artifacts and archival material.

New Exhibit Early 20th Century Finnish Kitchen
Our ongoing project to restore the stage that was once in the front of our museum room is completed. Although we have footlights in the apron of the stage, our next step is to hang a lighting system and create a light board.
Just look at the progress that has been made!!!
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL work done by our Board Member and volunteer Edwin Johnson. The wood that creates the "proscenium," which surrounds the opening, was recycled from Ericsson School. Old wainscoting from Ericsson covers the apron, the new addition that brings the stage out beyond the proscenium. Ed also created the Vasa Order Emblem, which adorns the central sunburst. The Vasa Order was the Swedish Organization that originally constructed the building we are in today.
