Meet Dorothea Elizabeth Allen Cooke, as portrayed by Rachael Martin, retired museum director and
longtime living history interpreter. The year is 1868 when Philadelphia banker Jay Cooke and his wife
visited Superior to determine whether or not to invest in building a railroad. While Mr. Cooke attends to
business, Mrs. Cooke is meeting with residents of the community to get acquainted and find out more
about this newly developing community.
