(Re)Collect: Opening Reception, art meet and greet, and community show and tell

Working with a variety of mediums such as drawing, photography and printmaking, Twin Ports based artist Susanna Gaunt analyzes the human condition through a philosophical and scientific lens. Inspired by historic European curiosity cabinets, natural history museums and personal specimen collections, she creates works that encourage curiosity and reflection. This exhibit, (Re)Collect, asks the viewer about their personal collecting habits, and through this lens, draws connections to our community’s Historical Society Collection, one of the largest history collections in the state. Art from this exhibit is the work of Susanna Gaunt, supplemented with items from the Historical Society. We would like to thank the Superior Public Art Commission for financially sponsoring this collaboration in our community and helping us offer this event and exhibit to the public without a fee.
